I’m currently taking two conclusions away from this:ġ) Netflix’s app is one great big random sack of contradictions.Ģ) The article’s suggestion that the Galaxy S4 is known to work does not seem to bear out universally. Sometimes you need to restart a device to get things working again. Wait a short time and then tap it again to resume the download. I un/reinstall the app, get the big “hey, look, download button” message again when I open it and log in, try to download something again and it gives me a different error – which literally says “download feature isn’t supported on this device” instead of an error number – and the download buttons have now vanished from the app again. If an app icon appears on your home screen, but the download has slowed or stalled, tap the icon for the app you're attempting to install. I try to download something, it gives me a BRL.2303 error, which Netflix’s help site says that means my device isn’t supported. Then out of nowhere this week when I open the app I get a big “hey, look, download button” message and sure enough, there it is beside the downloadable titles. When I select EDIT, the circles that appear next to the items cannot be checked to be deleted. Had previously tried un/reinstalling, clearing data, the whole bag with no success – no download option in sight. The downloads deleted on Netflix app do show up as occupying space on Settings > General > Storage. That’s when I rebooted my phone.Exactly same situation, same model (not rooted), same OS.
When continued to get the error I found this website, but I kept getting the error and screen freezes making it impossible for me to read the article. I changed my setting back to reg quality and deleted the pano texts I was trying to send. I tried hitting the Done button thereafter. After that, I started getting the “UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD” error with retry or send… I tried to resend 1st and kept getting the error at same time my phone slowed down and my screen started freezing (no matter what app i was in at the time). Then I tried changing, in settings, to send photos with lower quality, in hopes that would work got same error. I got the red explanation point saying not delivered and tried again. I wasn’t sure it was going to work (but I have sent them regular photos from the same app). The only thing I was doing at the time was trying to text a pano photo from photos to someone without an iPhone. In short, I shut my phone off, waited a minute then all was back to normal when I turned it back on. I just had the same problem with my iPhone 6 plus. If you’ve encountered this message for a legitimate reason, or out of the blue, and you discovered why it happened or a way to dismiss it that’s different from the Airplane mode trick above, do let us know in the comments!
The only thing consistent about this error message is that it’s not particularly consistent, which perhaps indicates that it’s more of a bug than much else. Some users were also able to narrow the error message down to the weird U2 album thing, but again that’s not consistent. There are a variety of attempted explanations for the Unable to Download Item message in iOS, most of which have to do with iTunes Match, iBooks, or the iOS Automatic Updates feature which downloads apps, music, and media, but turning off that feature may still lead to the message appearing. That should be the end of the message, and you will likely never see it again. Wait about 15 seconds then disable Airplane mode.Tap on the “Done” button to dismiss the error.Flip open Control Center and tap to enable AirPlane mode.Give permissions now a pop-up window opens with the title of Group Policy > then click on Computer Configuration. Press Win + R key > and in Run dialog box > type gpedit.msc > OK. If you do immediately see the “Unable to Download” error message again, try the following: I would suggest you refer to the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue. So what should you do if you get this error message on your iPhone or iPad at random, sometimes even repeatedly?Īssuming you didn’t actually try to download anything (and if you did try to download something and got this message, simply check your network connection and try again – that should be the end of it), just tap on “Done” and it should go away, if you tap on “Retry” it can often cause the error message to keep returning over and over again.
